Confirm the lamp base, voltage and fixture compatibility with the supplier or packaging before purchase; these specifications are not verified in the listing. The UVB 5.0 and 10.0 labels alone do not establish measured UV Index at your animal's basking position. Use a species-specific UVB guide, appropriate mounting distance and, when possible, a calibrated UV Index meter. Glass and many plastics block UVB, so do not place these materials between the lamp and animal.

UVB does not replace a heat source. Provide a suitable temperature gradient and any additional lighting required for your species. Follow manufacturer replacement intervals and avoid direct eye exposure. Supplier claims about calcium support have not been independently verified for this lamp.
