Why choose the dimmer?

The built-in dimmer lets you reduce the output of compatible incandescent heat bulbs and ceramic heat emitters instead of running them at full power. Always monitor enclosure and basking temperatures and follow the heating requirements for your species.

Important: Do not exceed 150W. Use above a screen-top reptile enclosure, not inside the animal enclosure. Compact fluorescent and mercury-vapor bulbs should only be used with the dimmer fully on; do not dim those bulb types.
